Hydraulic press

A process capable of forming complicated configurations and reducing tooling expenses.

‘

The hydraulic press achieves an objective configuration by utilizing hydraulic pressure. Pressure is created by pressing a rigid body punch into a hydraulic press room filled with liquid.

Hydraulic press

‘

A hydraulic press simplifies the tool system because liquid takes the place of work that a die tool normally does, and thus only a punch tool is required.

‘

Local material thickness reduction is limited since the pressure from a die is transmitted to all locations evenly.

‘

Complicated configurations that were not feasible by usual processes become possible with a hydraulic press because of the enhanced breaking point of the material.

‘

In addition, a hydraulic press enhances the maximum drawing limit and this contributes to the reduction of the number of stages.

‘

Opposing pressure is quite strong and this allows for high dimensional accuracy stamping following the dimensions of the tool.

‘

Shock-lines at the drawing process can be reduced by this opposing pressure. In addition, the liquid on the die side can prevent the work from being damaged (flawed or dented) and this makes finishing work (such as polishing) much easier.
