gElectrolytic Polishing Technology for Stainless Steelh brought success to local industry

The establishment of Toyo Rikagaku Kennkyuusyo Co.,Ltd began with the development of gElectrolytic Polishing Technology for Stainless Steelh which enabled polishing to be done by chemical processing. It was in 1950. Considering that each piece used to be polished by hand at the time, it is obvious how appreciated this evolution in technology was. It made the mass-production of stainless steel products possible, and it opened the door for success in the silverware industry in the Tsubame area. We were able to display our patent technical know-how for the development of local industry. As a result, it brought the rise of the Stainless Steel processing industry to Tsubame area and made Tsubamefs reputation known around the world.


Establish gExtra Deep Stamping Techniqueh by developing total production know-how

We have expanded our business not only within surface treatment such as polishing but also to general product processing. It was because we could expect more advantages by working on gprocessingh in general rather than just surfacing. Around the mid 1970s, we changed our business plan in order to strive for more exploration in skills and technology. We acquired total production know-how by producing containers for a beer company. Supported by this experience, we steadily gained more production skills, and our technical abilities expanded. Thanks to the steady increase in skills, we were able to invent an gExtra Deep Stamping Techniqueh based on the gDeep Stamping Techniqueh of stainless steel processing, and produced various forms of containers including thermos bottles, lunch containers and electric pots.


Success in developing the processing skill of hard to process Titanium

Per our change in business plan to include general stainless steel processing, we acquired skills related to material processing not only stainless steel but aluminum as well. Along with aluminum, we also started focusing on processing of Titanium. Unlike now, Titanium was not popular among manufacturers due to its high cost of processing at the time (about 20 years ago). However, its hard and light characteristics were appealing to us as a product material. We started to research and develop our Titanium processing skills so that we could meet the needs of companies in the future. By utilizing our technical skills we had developed by then, we succeeded in processing Titanium. When it was first used for the body of cameras, it created a huge sensation. Our technology began to be used by camera manufacturers around the world, and that technology opened the door to create a notebook computer utilizing Titanium.


Provide our technology to current growing industries, and step onto the global stage

Today, our main forces are IT related products. They include the bodies of portable music players, which have been successful around the world, as well as computer, mobile phone and PDA bodies. In addition to current business, we plan to provide our technology to new growing fields. While we continue to make more progress in the health-care field, we are eager to cooperate with other growing industries such as space, energy and environment. We continually pursue the latest technology to meet the demands of the times. Our new business focus is in line with what we have been known for in the past - pioneering innovative technology for todayfs industry needs. Meanwhile, for global business development we plan to expand our production bases in addition to the one already operating in China.
